Debt mapper

Everything in one place.

Enter your debts and see what you owe in total and to whom. When you will be debt-free, and what to pay off first, is what the Norta app works out. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

What kind of debts do you have?

Pick everything that applies. You can change it later. This is the same selection the app asks for when you set it up there.

How much is each debt?

The outstanding balance is on the contract, the account statement or the collection letter. The app asks for the rate and the instalment when it needs them.

Nothing selected yet. Tap a kind of debt above and the matching card appears here.

Step 3 of 3

You have the list. The app turns it into the plan.

In the app the list becomes a payoff plan: when you will be debt-free, where each extra euro goes first, where each debt stands, and reminders for instalments that are due. You enter the figures from this page there yourself — nothing is transferred, because nothing leaves this page.

Common questions

Why does this page not work out a payoff plan?

This is where you first gather what there is. The payoff plan — when you will be debt-free and where each extra euro goes first — is what the Norta app works out from your debts, and it works it out again whenever an instalment or a balance changes.

Why does this page not ask for the interest rate or the instalment?

Because they would change nothing here: the list adds up what you owe, and the balance is all that takes. The app asks for the rate and the instalment once it works out the payoff plan. Both are on the contract, on the annual statement or in online banking.

Do debts in collection count?

Yes, enter them like any other debt: principal plus costs as the balance. Whether the debt and the costs are justified is for a debt advice centre to check — this list takes your figures as they are.

Do mortgages, student loans and car loans belong on the list?

Yes. They count towards your total debt, and the app asks about them just as it does about every other debt.

What if I cannot pay my instalments right now?

Then a list is not your first question. The garnishment calculator shows what part of your income is protected, and a free debt advice centre looks at your debts one by one. The garnishment calculator is linked from this page.

Is what I enter stored?

No. The list stays entirely in your browser. No debt, no amount and no creditor name is sent to Norta or to third parties, written into the address bar or stored on your device. You enter the figures into the app yourself.

A plan only holds if someone carries it with you.
