# Beta Test Agreement > Terms for the Norta beta programme — scope, data, liability and termination. - URL: https://norta.app/en/beta-test-agreement - Language: English - Deutsch: https://norta.app/beta-testvereinbarung - Site index for agents: https://norta.app/llms.txt ## Norta GmbH — Beta User Agreement Last updated: April 2026 This agreement applies exclusively to the beta phase of the Norta app. By registering, you accept these terms. ## § 1 Scope and Parties (1) These Terms govern the use of the mobile application "Norta" (the "App") and the associated website norta.app, offered by Norta GmbH ("Norta", "we", "us"). (2) Provider: Norta GmbH, c/o 0to9 GmbH, Rosenthaler Straße 38, 10178 Berlin, Germany. Email: [support@norta.app](mailto:support@norta.app). Commercial register: Amtsgericht Berlin-Charlottenburg, HRB 285450. Managing Directors: Lara Planet, Jessica Holzbach. (3) Users under this agreement are exclusively consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB residing in Germany. ## § 2 Service Description (Beta) (1) Norta is a digital application that helps users in financial distress analyse their financial situation and create a structured repayment plan. (2) During the beta phase, features are under active development. The service may not be available without interruption. Norta reserves the right to change or discontinue features without notice. (3) Norta is not a licensed debt counsellor within the meaning of § 4 AGInsO. The app does not replace professional debt or legal advice. (4) AI-generated recommendations from the Norta Chat do not constitute financial or legal advice. Users are responsible for their own decisions. Norta accepts no liability for decisions made based on chat recommendations. ## § 3 Registration and User Account (1) Use of the app requires registration. You are obliged to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. (2) You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and may not share your account with third parties. (3) Norta reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts in cases of suspected misuse or violation of these terms. (4) Use of the app is restricted to persons aged 18 and over. ## § 4 Bank Account Connection via FinAPI (PSD2) (1) The app enables the connection of your bank account via the licensed account information service FinAPI GmbH ("FinAPI") under the PSD2 directive.(2) Your explicit consent is required for the bank account connection, which you actively provide during the onboarding process. You may revoke this consent at any time in the app settings. (3) Norta receives read-only access to account transaction data. No payment initiation takes place. (4) FinAPI processes your data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at [finapi.io/datenschutz](http://finapi.io/datenschutz). ## § 5 User Obligations You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, not to conduct automated access (bots, scraping), and not to introduce malware. You further agree not to transmit false or misleading financial data, not to take any action that endangers the security or integrity of the app or connected systems, and not to use the app for commercial purposes or on behalf of third parties. In the event of a violation, Norta reserves the right to suspend access without prior notice and to pursue damages. ## § 6 Pricing (Beta) (1) Use of the Norta app is free of charge during the beta phase. ## § 7 Liability and Warranties (1) Norta does not guarantee that the calculated repayment plans will result in debt resolution. All content is provided for informational and guidance purposes only. (2) Norta's liability for simple negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law, unless it concerns a breach of essential contractual obligations, personal injury, or claims under product liability law. (3) Norta is not liable for damages arising from the use of third-party services (FinAPI, Railway, Supabase, Sentry, Mixpanel, Google Cloud). ## § 8 Data Protection The collection and processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Notice, available at norta.app/datenschutz and forming an integral part of this agreement. ## § 9 Term and Termination (1) The user agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and may be terminated by either party at any time without giving reasons. (2) Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Bank account data will be deleted immediately upon termination. (3) You may delete your account at any time independently in the app settings under "Profile". (4) Norta reserves the right to discontinue the beta operation at any time. ## § 10 Governing Law and Jurisdiction German law applies. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Berlin. EU consumers may also bring claims before the courts of their country of residence. EU online dispute resolution: [https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr](https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Norta is not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. ## § 11 Amendments Norta reserves the right to amend these terms with 30 days' notice. Changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance. If you object, the agreement is deemed terminated. ## § 12 Confidentiality As the app is in beta, you agree to maintain confidentiality. You agree not to publicly share screenshots or recordings of the app, not to disclose non-public features or content to third parties, not to decompile, analyse or reverse engineer the software, and not to publish public reviews, reports or content about the app without prior written consent from Norta.
